WHY FOCUS ON ISRAEL?

We started to put out one issue every other month when we started but felt we are so close to the coming of the Lord that we had better use the time we have wisely. We started one each month.

The Lord has burdened me about Israel for some time, weeks even months. Seven issues were already written and being edited well before the current war that Israel is in. It is felt that it is necessary to focus on Israel to get an understanding of the end times.

Many people may question should we stand behind Israel?

Why should we stand behind a nation that openly rejects Christ?

What is our obligation to Israel?

These and many other questions are raised about Israel. We hope to help answer these and other questions. I was talking to a friend the other day and he said anyone that knows anything about the Bible knows that Israel is the time clock. Hopefully this is true.

MODERN ISRAEL

When I was in the service in the mid fifties a Jewish boy was stationed in the same barracks with me. He said if things keep getting worse it looks like I will have to go help them out.

I told him he was an American citizen and he was in the military. I asked him if he did not know he would be a deserter and lose his citizenship. He simply let us know that was not important but what was important was that if Israel needed him he was going. Israel became a nation in 1948.

BUDDING OF THE FIG TREE

JERUSALEM A CUP OF TREMBLING

Zec 12:2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

WHY BUILD THE TEMPLE?

Israel has been a cast out nation, a wandering nation, a vagabond nation, a people without a land for centuries. They now have part of the promise land back.

Jerusalem and the temple mount is of critical importance to them. It has been said to build the temple back is a national dream. This is a rallying point for the nations cultural, political and religious heritage. Restoring the temple is the prayer of the Orthodox Jew. It has also been said he who controls the temple mount controls Israel. The control is now split. This of course causes turmoil.

Unfortunately there are numerous groups that are working towards doing what is necessary to build the temple. It is my understanding that 3 of these groups (1) The Jerusalem Temple Foundation (2) To The Mountain Of The Lord and (3) The Faithful Of The Temple Mt. have combined forces. As a result of many factions we have much disinformation and misinformation that abounds. Some of the information is true, some not true. One thing is certain the devout Jews are attempting to do what is necessary to construct the temple. This will have to be accomplished before the beast can proclaim himself to be as God or above all gods.

BRING A NATION AGAINST THEE

Jer5:15 Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel, saith the LORD: it is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language thou knowest not, neither understandest what they say.

Jer 3:8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.

Jer 3:14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

Israel is the wife of God. She will be purged by God. She will go through the abomination of desolation. It will be as it has never been before nor ever shall be. God can do what he will with Israel. He promised them what would happen to them if they did not follow His commandments. He also promised there would be a remnant left and he would bring them through as a new jewel. The new nation of Israel is promised. Woe unto the hand that goes against the chosen race of God even though they have transgressed and fallen away. It is not the sins of Israel that we should focus on but the promises of God to Israel and they are many. A remnant will be spared and later exalted.

Mal 3:3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

Isa 62:4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.

PROMISE TO ABRAHAM

Gen 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

You see, it is clear God’s promise to bless those that bless Abraham was not hinging on what Abraham or his descendants were doing, nor was the promise to curse them hinging on what they were doing when he cursed them.

My position is clear and I feel the Bible supports the position that we had better stand behind Israel or suffer the consequences.

There are people on all sides of Israel with many dedicated to destruction of the Jews and the nation of Israel. To me the promise is clear as to what will be their end.

Jer 30: 16 Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.

IS MODERN ISRAEL REALLY ISRAEL?

Israel has been a nation from the time of Jacob (later called Israel), through the Egyptian bondage, their release, wandering in the wilderness, entering the promised land, then through the period of the Judges.

The United Kingdom with kings lasted about 120 years under the rule of Saul, David and Solomon. At the time of Rehoboam (Solomon’s son) and Jeroboam, the kingdom was split and divided into two kingdoms. Israel or the Northern Kingdom on the north and Judah or the Southern Kingdom on the south. Rehoboam was the king of Judah on the south and Jeroboam was king of Israel on the north. Once the United Kingdom was divided it has not been united until this day. The division came in 931 B.C. The Northen Kingdom was taken into the Assyrian captivity in 722 B.C. and was disbursed among the Assyrians. Many scholars refer to this as the 10 lost tribes. Israel (Northern Kingdom) lasted 209 years and Judah (Southern Kingdom) lasted 345 years until the Babylonian Captivity in 586 B.C. Judah lasted 136 years after the fall of Israel (Northern Kingdom) and then fell to the Babylonians.

The main difference between the two is that Israel (Northern Kingdom) never came back from the Assyrian captivity and Judah (Southern Kingdom) came back in very much the same order that they had left. They had prophets during the captivity and they returned to the promised land and built the temple. They started the worship back after they returned. The Southern Kingdom of Judah was all that was left then and is all that is left now. The location of the rest is not known.

Judaeans are the people that come from Judah and are called Jews for short. They call themselves Jews, we call them Jews and I guess the rest of the world does likewise.

IS MODERN ISRAEL REALLY ISRAEL?

No, modern Israel is not all of Israel but is the Southern kingdom of Judah. They are Jews, they are Israelites as they are from the nation of Israel and they are Hebrews. They took the name of the nation before it was divided. Their hope would be as God promised they will be united once again in the future.

The nation of Israel will not be united until after the 1000 year reign begins, after Armageddon. (See Ezekiel 37)

IT IS TIME TO BREAK THE PITCHERS AS GIDEON AND THIS MEN DID AND LET THE LIGHT SHINE AND ANNOUNCE THE COMING OF THE LORD

Judg 7:19 So Gideon and the hundred men that were with him, came unto the outside of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch; and they had but newly set the watch: and they blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers that were in their hands.
Judg 7:20 And the three companies blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers, and held the lamps in their left hands, and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal: and they cried, The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon.

IS ISRAEL THE TIME CLOCK ON

END TIME PROPHECY?

As the End Time Prophesy unfolds will we be able to tell where we are in the line of events as they unfold?

We hope to show a number of events that are to occur with each being connected to Israel.

Many scholars are well aware that Israel is the focal point of End Time Scriptures. Watch Israel and your understanding will be increased. The following are a list of some of the things that will show Israel to be the time clock of events prophesied.

3. A temple will be built.

"...measure the temple of God..."

Rev 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
Rev 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

4. Judea will flee to the mountains.

"...Judea flee into the mountains"...

Mat 24:16 Then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains:

5. A third part die of pestilence and famine, a third part fall by the sword and scatter a third part.

6. The daily sacrifice will be cut off.

"...shall take away the daily sacrifice,..."

Dan 11:31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

7. The beast will sit in the temple and show himself to be God.

"...sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God...."

2 Theses. 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteh himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

8. The beast will control Israel and the world.

"...power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations...."

Rev 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

9. The Abomination of Desolation will start.

"...the abomination of desolation..."

Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

10. Israel will be scattered.

"...the land be utterly desolate..."

Isa 6:11 Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,

11. The Gentiles will tread the holy city under foot forty and two months.

"...the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months”

Rev 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

12. God's two witnesses will appear on the scene. (see scripture below)

13. The two witnesses will prophesy 1260 days.

"...give power unto my two witnesses..."
"...prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days,..."

Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
Rev 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

14. The two witnesses will be killed.

"...overcome them, and kill them..."

Rev 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

15. The two witnesses will be taken up to heaven.

"...And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud;..."

Rev 11:11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
Rev 11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

16. The battle of Armageddon will take place.

"...Armageddon."

Rev 16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

17. Judah will be established first.

"...shall save the tents of Judah first..."

Zech. 12:7 The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.

18. Restoration of Israel will occur.

"...I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:"

Jer 3:14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

19. Christ will reign at Jerusalem for 1000 years.

"...shall reign with him a thousand years..."

Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

20. TIME FRAME (FROM REVELATION AND DANIEL)

1260 days

“...a thousand two hundred and threescore days, ...”

Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

1290 days

“...a thousand two hundred and ninety days.”

Dan 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

1335 days

“ ...the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.”

Dan 12:12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

2300 days

“...Unto two thousand and three hundred days;...”

Dan 8:14 And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

Note that the 1290 days starts with the daily sacrifice being taken away. It appears the two witnesses come on the scene at this time. They will prophesy 1260 days. This will leave 30 days after the two witnesses cease to prophesy until the consummation (felt to be Armageddon). Blessed is he that waiteth until 1335 days which then gives a 45 day period. This appears to be the gathering of Israel for the 1000 year reign.
We are then given 2300 days for the sanctuary to be cleansed which strongly suggest that the temple will be ready for the 1000 year reign. Also, note that if you divide 1260 days that the witnesses prophesy by 30 days you will come up with 42 months that the beast was given power.

WHAT IS THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION?

The seventieth week of Daniel (Dan. 9:24-27) is often referred to as the 7 years of tribulation. In the MIDST (Dan. 9:27) of the week the 42 months that the beast will have power will began. As you will later see it says the Midst and not Middle as most people refer to it. The Beast will sitteth in the temple of God showing himself that he is God (2 Thes.2:4). When this happens the Abomination of Desolation will start when the daily sacrifice is cut off. The desolation will go to the end of the war (Armageddon ) or the consummation (Dan. 9:27).

DEFINE:

CONSUMMATION: COMPLETION, COMPLETELY, DESTRUCTION, WAS DETERMINED, (FULL, UTTER) END, RIDDANCE

End of the war or Armageddon seem to fit well within this definition.

ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION

"...Seventy weeks..."
"...shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks..."

Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
Dan 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

Dan 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

WILL ISRAEL BE BROUGHT DOWN?

Many people seem to think that Israel can not go down because they are the chosen race. It is true that God is watching after Israel and that Israel is the wife of God.. Do not forget that God promised Israel what would happen to them if they did not follow Him. The scripture is clear that Israel will be purged. For 42 months the beast will control all nations, kindred and tongues. Israel will not only be over run but will be scattered among the nations.

I had a man once to get very angry with me to the point that he got red faced and walked off because I said Israel is going down. He said he could not understand why fellows like me thought they knew everything. I certainly do not think I even know very much. It would be interesting to see what his thinking would be concerning many of the scriptures to follow. Some examples are as follows:

”...Zion for your sake be plowed...”

Micah 3:12 Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.

“...led away captive...”

"...will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations."

Isaiah

Isa 3:8 For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.

Isa 4:2 In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.
Isa 4:3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:

Ezek 5:10 Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I scatter into all the winds.

Ezek 5:15 So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment unto the nations that are round about thee, when I shall execute judgments in thee in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken it.
Ezek 5:16 When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread:

Ezek 6:6 In all your dwelling places the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.

Ezek 6:8 Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.
Ezek 6:9 And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall loathe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

Ezek 6:12 He that is far off shall die of the pestilence; and he that is near shall fall by the sword; and he that remaineth and is besieged shall die by the famine: thus will I accomplish my fury upon them.

Ezek 6:14 So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Ezek 9:4 And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

Ezek 9:8 And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem?

Ezek 14:20 Though Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall but deliver their own souls by their righteousness.
Ezek 14:21 For thus saith the Lord GOD; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast?
Ezek 14:22 Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it.
Ezek 14:23 And they shall comfort you, when ye see their ways and their doings: and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord GOD.

Ezek 16:53 When I shall bring again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, then will I bring again the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them:

Luke 21:22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
Luke 21:23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

Isa 11:12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

Zec 9:16 And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his hand.

JACOB'S TROUBLE

We are continuing a series of articles on Israel. We are currently looking at Jacob's troubles. Who is Jacob? What is his trouble? How does this effect Israel and end times?

Please note that Jacob is the father of the 12 sons that started the 12 tribes of Israel. Jacob is the grand-son of Abraham to whom the promise was given. Jacob was later called Israel, hence this is where the name of the nation came from.

"... Jacob's trouble;..."

Jer 30:7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

THE BESSINGS AND THE CURSES

Deu 28:1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
Deu 28:2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

The 28th chapter of Deuteronomy is dedicated to the blessings and the curses. The first 14 verses tell of the blessings that will come from the Lord if the nation of Israel will follow Him. If they chose to rebel and not follow his commandments then from verse 15 through verse 68 would be the curses that would follow.

Any of the curses that have been promised Israel for disobedience and have not already taken place will take place during the abomination of desolation. It will be as it has never been before or ever shall be. In short the abomination of desolation is the period of time when the beast will control the earth for 42 months until Armageddon. It will fall in the midst of the 7 years of tribulation. This same period of time is known as Jacob's trouble.

Please note that when any of the following terms are used (1) the whole house of Israel, (2) the house of Jacob or, (3) all Israel, it is speaking of all the tribes of Israel or all descendants of Jacob. The 28th chapter of Deuteronomy is directed at the complete nation of Israel. This fact is so important to understand the prophesy such as in Ezekiel chapter 37 for the restoration of Israel it includes the Northern Kingdom of Israel (often referred to as the 10 lost tribes) as well as the Southern Kingdom of Judah.

"...third part of thee shall die with the pestilence, and with famine..."
"...third part shall fall by the sword..."
"...scatter a third part into all the winds ..."

When the Lord is finished with Israel there will be no more than a third of them left to start the 1000 year reign of Christ here on this earth. Christ will rule with a rod of iron as indicated in Rev, 2:27, Rev. 12:5, and Rev 19:15.

"...I was an husband unto them,..."

Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

"...backsliding Israel..."
"...given her a bill of divorce..."

"...O backsliding children..."
"...I will take you one of a city,..."
"...two of a family..."

Jer 3:14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

"...he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power...."

1 Cor 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

God is married to the whole house of Israel, but as you can see in Jer 3:8 that the Northern Kingdom has been given a bill of divorcement for backsliding and committing adultery. In the same chapter in Jer.3:14 they are told they will be brought back one of a city and two of a family back to Zion. After they have been purged and sin removed from the earth Christ will deliver up the kingdom to God when he has put down all rule, authority, and power. The saints, during the period of grace, having been washed in the blood of Christ, the true sayings of Christ that have been born again will be the bride of Christ. Israel is the wife of God.

"...though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee...”
"...yet will I not make a full end of thee:..."

Jer 30:11 For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.

"...This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after...."

Jer 30:17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

"...The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it..."

Jer 30:22 And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
Jer 30:23 Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.
Jer 30:24 The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye 30 shall consider it.

I strongly recommend that you read the complete 30th chapter of Jeremiah to get a clearer understanding.

"...I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:..."

IT IS TIME TO BREAK THE PITCHERS AS GIDEON AND HIS MEN DID AND LET THE LIGHT SHINE AND ANNOUNCE THE COMING OF THE LORD.

Judg 7:19 So Gideon, and the hundred men that were with him, came unto the outside of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch; and they had but newly set the watch: and they blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers that were in their hands.
Judg 7:20 And the three companies blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers, and held the lamps in their left hands, and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal: and they cried, The sword of the LORD, and of Gideon.

SHORTLY BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION THE FOLLOWING SIGNS SHOULD BE RECOGNIZED BY THE ENTIRE WORLD.

ANNOUNCEMENTS TO OR BEGINNING OF THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION

"...came out of the smoke locusts ..."
"...be tormented five months: ..." (Rev. 9:5)

Rev 9:3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
Rev 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
Rev 9:5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.

“...an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.”

Rev 9:15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.

“...seven thunders...”

Rev 10:4 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.

Dan 8:11 Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.

Rev 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

Rev 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

Ezek 9:4 And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

Ezek 5:1 And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife, take thee a barber's razor, and cause it to pass upon thine head and upon thy beard: then take thee balances to weigh, and divide the hair.
Ezek 5:2 Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, and smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them.

The Abomination of Desolation begins in the midst of the 7 years of tribulation and goes for at least 42 months while the beast is in control of the earth. The above takes place probably within about 24 months of the beginning of the abomination of desolation. Below are a list of some things that will happen from the start of the tribulation period up until this point (the abomination of desolation). Note only one thing is listed out of each of the first four seals and first four trumpets. It will be far worse that just this list.

1. First Seal - Conquer and to Conquer (Rev. 6:2)

2. Second Seal - Take peace from the earth (Rev. 6:4)

3. Third Seal - Famine (Rev. 6:6)

4. Fourth Seal - one fourth of the earth will die (Rev. 6:8)

5. First Trumpet - 1/3 trees and all the green grass will be burnt up (Rev. 8:7)

6. Second Trumpet - 1/3 of the sea became blood (Rev. 8:8)

7. Third Trumpet - 1/3 part of the waters became wormwood (Rev.8:11)

8. Fourth Trumpet - 1/3 part of the sun, moon, and stars were smitten (Rev.8:12)

This is simply a partial list of the happenings that will take place. It appears that no more than 1/3 of Israel or less will come through the tribulation (Ezek. chp. 5). Gog will have only 1/6 left (Ezek. 39:2) and this could or could not be representative of the rest of the earth. Surely when 1/4 of the earth die (Rev. 6:8) everyone that knows the word will know exactly what has happened and where the progression of the prophesy will have reached at that point. Surely when 1/3 of the men are killed (Rev. 9:15) by an army of 200,000,000 horsemen (Rev.9:16) everyone will know.

Most are in a state of denial now and why not then.

Most of our problems today could be eliminated by learning the word of God and following it. There is a famine in the land for the word of God. We would have trials and tribulation and even persecution but He would be with us every step of the way.

IT HAS BEEN SAID THAT EVIL FLOURISHES WHEN GOOD MEN DO NOTHING.

It seems to me that it is growing pretty well at this time.

IN SUMMARY: To know that the Abomination of Desolation is at the door- LOOK FOR:

1. Locust sting and torment 5 months

2. Slay the third part of men

3. Seven thunders

4. Daily sacrifice was taken away

5. Beast will magnify himself above every god

6. Judaea flee into the mountains

7. The temple of God will be at Jerusalem

8. Gentiles control Israel

9. God's two witnesses on the scene in Jerusalem able to strike the earth with plagues

10. All killed in Jerusalem that have not the seal of God in their forehead

11. Burn one third, smite one third with a knife, and scatter one third of Israel

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

JOEL 1:3 TELL YE YOUR CHILDREN OF IT, AND LET YOUR CHILDREN TELL THEIR CHILDREN, AND THEIR CHILDREN ANOTHER GENERATION.
